Tesla Powershare, Wall Connector and Powerwall

Your compatible Tesla can help power your home. Start with the right home-energy plan.

Tesla Powershare can use the battery in a compatible Cybertruck, Model 3 or Model Y to support the home during an outage. The required equipment depends on the vehicle and the home's existing Powerwall, solar, meter and electrical-panel configuration. Eco Solar & Electric verifies eligibility first, then designs the Wall Connector, Powershare, Powerwall or solar scope around the property instead of treating every home the same.

How we can help

Common reasons customers call

  • Powershare eligibility and in-vehicle support check
  • Universal Wall Connector or Wall Connector 3 installation
  • Powershare Gateway and Backup Switch planning where applicable
  • Existing Powerwall and solar configuration review
  • Eligible Powerwall 2 expansion with Powerwall 3
  • Main-panel capacity, load calculations and permitting

One customer journey. Three opportunities.

Charge the car. Prepare the home. Build the energy system.

We start with what the customer owns today and create an upgrade path without pretending every vehicle or property qualifies for the same equipment.

01 / Home charging

Wall Connector

Plan the circuit, panel capacity, routing, permits, commissioning and Tesla app registration for dependable Level 2 charging.

Request a Wall Connector review →
02 / Outage support

Powershare

Verify the vehicle's Powershare Support field and determine whether the home needs Powerwall, a Powershare Gateway, Universal Wall Connector, Backup Switch or load relocation.

Start the complimentary preflight →
03 / Energy independence

Powerwall + Solar

Assess backup loads, existing solar, eligible Powerwall 2 expansion, Powerwall 3, future storage and solar production as one coordinated system.

Request a Powerwall and solar review →

Vehicle check

Do not guess whether the car qualifies.

In the vehicle touchscreen, open Controls → Software → Additional Vehicle Information. Powershare Support must show Enabled. Tesla currently lists Cybertruck plus compatible Model 3 and Model Y vehicles.

Existing Powerwall check

Powerwall 2 may now have an expansion path.

Eligible systems on software 26.26 or later can support one Powerwall 3, up to three Powerwall 3 Expansion units and up to four existing Powerwall 2 units. Gateway, metering and Powerwall+ limitations still apply.

Compatibility, backup duration, permitting and final equipment depend on the exact vehicle, software, Tesla account/site registration, existing energy equipment, utility/AHJ requirements, panel capacity, loads and site conditions. Eco Solar & Electric verifies the current Tesla documentation and installed equipment before quoting.

Field experience

One electrical plan can connect home charging, vehicle backup, Powerwall and solar.

A Wall Connector can be the first practical step. If the vehicle and home qualify, Powershare can extend outage backup through Powerwall; eligible Powerwall 2 owners may now have a supported Powerwall 3 expansion path. Solar can help recharge the home's energy ecosystem during suitable outage conditions. Every claim and configuration is verified against the installed equipment, current Tesla software and local requirements before quoting.
