Electrical subpanel repair and installation

Electrical Subpanel Repair & Installation

A subpanel may need repair when breakers overheat, circuits lose power, connections deteriorate or the feeder no longer supports the equipment being used. For new installations, the feeder and main service must support the planned demand. We evaluate the existing panel, feeder, grounding, load and circuit layout before recommending repair, replacement or expansion.

How we can help

Common reasons customers call

  • Subpanel and feeder troubleshooting
  • Hot, damaged or repeatedly tripping breakers
  • Garage and workshop subpanels
  • Addition or ADU circuit distribution
  • New dedicated equipment circuits
  • Feeder, conduit and grounding evaluation
  • Panel labeling and upstream load review

Clear process

What happens next

  1. 01Document failed and planned circuits
  2. 02Test the subpanel, feeder and upstream protection
  3. 03Evaluate service capacity and equipment condition
  4. 04Explain repair, replacement or expansion options
  5. 05Complete the approved work and labeling
  6. 06Test voltage and every affected circuit

Field experience

Repair or install the subpanel as part of the complete electrical system.

The feeder, upstream breaker, neutral and grounding arrangement, panel condition and connected loads must work together. Adding breaker spaces—or replacing one breaker—does not correct an undersized feeder or damaged panel equipment.
