Questions customers ask
Direct answers before you call.
Does SolarEdge monitoring offline mean my solar stopped producing?
Not necessarily. The inverter may still be producing while its internet connection is unavailable. We evaluate monitoring communication and production separately before recommending a repair.
Can you help if my original solar installer closed?
Yes. We service existing SolarEdge systems after confirming the equipment, ownership, available records and current condition. Authorized monitoring-transfer assistance can be included in the agreed service scope.
Does my installer closing automatically cancel my SolarEdge warranty?
No. Equipment may remain covered under the applicable manufacturer warranty. Coverage, approval and any labor reimbursement must be checked for the specific equipment and claim. Taking over service does not replace the original installer's workmanship warranty.
Is there a SolarEdge fee to change the monitoring installer?
SolarEdge currently offers installer monitoring administration transfer free of charge through its site-transfer process. Our diagnostic, configuration and administrative assistance are separate professional services. Processing and access depend on owner authorization and SolarEdge approval.
Can you run Ethernet to my inverter?
For compatible equipment, we can evaluate a hardwired connection. Cable routing, distance, access and materials are quoted separately; Ethernet does not prevent every possible internet or equipment outage.
What should I send to request SolarEdge service?
Text 323-928-8880 with your city, a description of the problem, a monitoring screenshot and a photo of the inverter label if safely accessible. Do not open the inverter or electrical equipment. We confirm the diagnostic fee and scope before scheduling.
